1997 : Oldest Ecler gear in GearbaseWebsite used to be : eclerdjdivision.com, but the website is out of business since around 2014
Ecler started in 1965, producing quite accordingly items for those psicodelic years: turntable-suitcases or TV plastic filters.
Shortly after that they presented the sophisticated Comparator.
From the 70's onwards Ecler made gear that could be called DJ equipment. The first mixers with 'faders', like the popular AC-4, were built. Later the mythical MAC 4 and MAC 5 with their sloping panel, and new lighting products too. Those were also the years of the EGM 10-2, our first equalizer; the FAS 2-2, one of the first filters with front panel cut-off frequency indicators.
In 1985 sales grew by a 70% and Ecler made their first modular mixer, the SCLAT 10. Evolution from black to grey with the MAC 8-2 and MAC 6-2E mixers. They were the beginning of ECLER’s strong presence in the international market and since then export has been both an important activity and a Keystone in the Company’s take-off.
In 1997, after more than 20 years manufacturing fine Professional Audio equipment, ECLER shocked the fast growing Dj Scene with a completely new mixer design: SMAC. With the new SMAC Concept, ECLER quality standard and innovative audio technologies are finally adapted to Dj's remixing techniques through a state of the art ergonomical design and a useful set of effect functions.
In 2015 the company filed for bankruptcy at the local court so production of DJ products has stopped since then. Ecler as an audio company continued business.
