Very nice CDJ's and setup, what's the next upgrade? Winking my eye

Why update cdj-100's to cdj-200's? There is almost no difference is there?

I had a party last saturday where i had to use 2 cdj-200. I'm used to cdj-100 and cdj-1000. Is it right that the jogwheel responds much more agressive when pitchbending compared to the cdj-100?

I exchanged for cdj 200 because they already had my cdj 100 10 years. the jog in cdj 200 is very sensitive but somehow I don't have a problem with him.

I absolutely hate the jog of a CDJ-200 (have them myself) but it is a big improvement from a CDJ100! you have effects, loop (big change) it looks better, MP-3, nice play/cue buttons, and it's still as reliable! but, a really nice booth,

so jog he is very sensitive but it is an issue of the habitWinking my eye however cdj 200 better than cdj 100 in my opinionHappy, laughing

why, cdj 200??
Because they're fine CD-players. Had them myself and was very exited about them! They are rock solid basic and reliable cdj's. For me the choice was obvious, taken into account a decent budget! Used to doubt between CDJ 200 & 800.
?advantages 800: bigger jogwheel (and pretty much club standard), the loop-beat function and a scratch mode (which is fun... once for a backspin as house dj)
advantages 200: 3 usefull effects AND a pitch accuracy of 0,02%, like the big bro CDJ 1000.. this last mentioned advantage along with the price difference closed the deal for me. Had them for about 2 years and they never failed me => they work great!
But overall every cd-J requires some adaption if you're used to somthing else, that's all...?
Naaice cd-players bye the way Winking my eye

well, if the cdj-100's are 10 years old i'm not surprised you bought these new cd-players. The cdj-200 is a good choice. I like them (except the sensitivity of the jog Happy, laughing, but that's something you can get used to.)
Flag Dolivieira wrote on 12-06-2009 09:11
I think these CDJs do what they got to do. No bullshit scatching. Simple beatmixing with some effects and the thrust in pioneer equipment.
Flag Estacy wrote on 12-06-2009 16:26
true, I absolutely love the CDJ's pitch control! not to light, not to heavy, perfect!
Flag JayStone wrote on 20-06-2009 00:04
No offence, but CDJ200ts is Pioneer's bigest MISTAKE ever! My friend have them and hate them! What's the point if somewhere in the middle of song it stops and starts playing another song by it self!!! And he's not the only one who has the same problem! In my opinion 100s are better!
@ theHitzmaker-Hope your ones works properly! Peace! Happy, laughing
Flag Quara wrote on 21-06-2009 21:27
I never ever had any problems like JayStone says. They just keep on spinning and spinning. I also doubted between 200 and 800, but because I had no experience in mixing I choose the 200.
