Sorry voor laat antwoord.
Ik zal in in Engels doorgaan want what dj woordenschat betreft ben ik een beetje zwak

The Yamaha monitors are indeed very good, very good bass response (even a bit too loud I must admit) and well defined highs.
I do play with timecode cds, but now I'm trying to move away from them (at least for electro sets) and use the akai mpd32 exclusively.? Beat grids allow doing perfectly synchronized sets on four decks, the fact that you do not have to spend time matching beats means you can play more cratively, using fxs, four decks, loops, and stuff like live reediting of tracks (through the use of pre defined loop points).
The akai controller is really my main unit now, it controls the 4 decks completely: transport, loop (length), beat synchronized track scanning, filters, key change, as well as full access to all hot cue points.? Furthermore, it controls the two fx boxes completely (fx select, fx engage on any deck, full fx parameter)
Took me a lot of time programming it (including some midi message translation I had to code myself), but now it is really stable and offers a whole range of possibilities
