This weekend I've had the privilege to have a test-drive on the brand new Pioneer DVJ-X1 and the DJM-909! These great machines have so much possibilities that the time flied away...
On the first one I still had my
DJM-600 in between the MK2 and the DVJ, but later on the
DJM-909 got hooked on... With the 909 in between the party was complete. I hope to do a complete review of these product in the near future.
The DVJ handles DVD's just as easy as a
CDJ-1000MK2 would do. You can actually really mix with DVD's. Too bad I had only one

.
The DVJ has multiple outputs for video connections, you can check on our product page for the exact descriptions. The master outputs send just the output signal. The monitor view has on-screen information about the CUE-points/loops that you have on the CUE and the HOT-CUE's.
On the Memory Card (SD) that can be inserted into the DVJ you can store up to 500 HOT-CUE's. When you activate this menu you get a clear view of your stored CUE point. You can see that I've only stored a few CUE's on my card, but the idea is clear I guess...
I lined the DVJ up with the MK2 to give you an impression how big it is. From the top viewed the size does not seem to be dramatically big.
But when you look at them in a little bit more perspective it looks a lot bigger.
When I put more CDJ's you can see it even better.
Check the evolution of the slot-in loading system

What do you think about Pioneer DVJ-X1 Sneakpreview ??

Lead wrote on 18-04-2004 @ 11:13The DVJ-X1 will not be shipped before September 2004 to stores so I would not be so worried about it. When the DVJ will be available in-stores you can go to your local dealer to check it out and eventually purchase the product.
Tobias wrote on 18-04-2004 @ 11:13I discovered this machine today. I'm just so moved by possiblities this type of manipulation of images and sound in reel-time has.
Price is high for me- any suggestions on the best route to purchase??
Thanks

Lead wrote on 27-08-2004 @ 09:08The screen is NOT included with the DVJ-X1, but this is one that is use for demonstrational purposes. This is a quit expensive screen (? 1400,-) and there are plenty cheaper possibilities... but this just looks so sweet
