syncsmx2.jpgAfter waiting a long time since its announcement at the end of last year, the new SYNQ SMX-2 is now finally widely available. The SynQ SMX-2 was released at the beginning of July 2006. This new club mixer is packed with features such as beat effects, sampler, matrix input and even a memory card slot for the recording of sample banks. This mixer is firmware upgradeable by SD-cards.

Inputs and outputs
12 inputs (2 mic + 7 line + 3 phono) on 6 channels (5 faders + 1 DJ mic)
Matrix input selector for maximum flexibility
2 Master outputs:
Master 1 with signal trimming (balanced on XLR + unbalanced on cinch/RCA)
Master 2 (unbalanced on cinch/RCA)

Line and cross faders

Gain and 3-band tone controls with kill function -30 dB on all channels
LED level meters with peak memory on all channels + Master
User replaceable, VCA controlled, high quality faders with curve control on all channels
User replaceable, VCA controlled, cross fader with curve control (soft - sharp cutoff)
Easy A/B channel selection for cross fader
Cross fader start control for compatible CD-players

Full featured phrase sampler
Works with high-speed SD-cards up to 512 MB (almost 1 hour samples on 1 card)
Max. 100 memory banks with each 5 samples on every SD Card
Polyphony: 2 samples can be played together
Seamless loops with editable begin and endpoints
Sampler in/outputs assignable to any channel

Full automatic beat counters
2 Beat synchronized Cross fader mixing effects
8 Beat synchronized digital effects with user programmable effect presets:
Echo, Autopan, Flanger, Manual filter (user programmable frequencies), Auto filter, Reverb (user programmable parameters), Trans, Pitch Shifter (user programmable parameters)
Stereo effect send/return for external effect units.
LCD display with back-light for effects, sampler and beat counters
Effect Cue function


Mic and monitoring
Adjustable DJ microphone talk-over function
High power Phones output with “cue/pgm mixing” possibility
