Kompakt brings Total 7  Add your News

Very nice for all those CD mixers out there. Cologne techno label Kompakt is set to release Total 7, the seventh edition of their unmixed compilation series on the 21st August. The compilation, released on double CD as well as vinyl, features tracks from artists such as Superpitcher, Wighnomy Brothers, Mikkel Metal and Gui Boratto, among others. As always, the release of the compilation coincides with the annual Kompakt bash organized in Cologne, Germany on August 25th.

True to its concept, Total 7 presents Kompakt's favourite singles of the past year, filled with exclusive and new songs. This year many newcomers of the Kompakt family are represented, and the previously more techno oriented label delves even deeper than before also into electronica worlds.

Kontrast present true space disco tracks, whilst duo Michael Mayer and DJ partner Tobias Thomas team up for disco glitter as well. Two Total 7 highlights are surely the rare appearances of Kompakt's chiefs Jurgen Paape and Wolfgang Voigt a.k.a. Wasserman on disc two of the new compilation.

Before August and after there is however still much else to come. Besides the upcoming releases, Kompakt's artists tour the world over with festival appearances as well as club performances on a weekly schedule for acts such as Ada, Dominik Eulberg, Jennifer Cardini, Michael Mayer, Tobias Thomas and Superpitcher to name but a few.
