Ahead of BPM 2014, we are pleased to announce the return of the much-anticipated ‘DJ of the Year’ competition!
To discover the ‘DJ of the Year’, we’re spending the next five months lending our ears to an eclectic selection of mixes and declaring one winner each week and then one winner each month, during the lead up to the show.
We know recognition is only half the fun, so we’re also rewarding the winners with some incredible equipment prizes from Reloop, not to mention giving the DJ of the Year the chance to strut their stuff with a Main Arena set at BPM.
To enter, just head over to the BPM Show Facebook page, post your mix - and the let the music work its magic. Simple!
BPM is the world’s largest event dedicated to DJing, Electronic Music Production and Entertainment Technology.
This year, the event will run as two co-located shows: BPM: DJ and Electronic Music Production Event and PRO: Audio and Lighting Technology Show. Taking place from September 13th-15th, the 2014 edition will again be at the Birmingham NEC. Citronic and QTX, two of the sister brands of Chord, will be exhibiting at the event this year.
The idea behind the co-located shows is grounded in a commitment to ensure that BPM retains its focus on DJs while still allowing for growth in the PA, Lighting and Effects sectors, which have been naturally and consistently growing each year. PRO will be targeted at users, retailers and installers of sound, lighting, video and effects equipment for small and medium-sized venues such as bars, clubs and concert venues.
Although PRO and BPM will each have their own unique identity, they will be conveniently joined, and the same ticket will cover entry to both shows. Both events will also benefit from the NEC’s central location, allowing convenient access for visitors from across the UK.
