Pioneer today announces exclusive limited edition models of the CDJ-400
multi-player and compact two-channel DJM-400 mixer. Introducing the
new-look with CDJ-400-K and DJM-400-K: flexible, affordable,
performance-packed tools that will soon be available in a
limited
edition format.
?These feature a sleek piano-black finish, and are
complemented by a cool blue illuminated LED design for both models.
This presents a striking variation on the now well-established 400
series, and enables DJs to tailor their colour design to their
individual style.
The -K addon to the type number stands for Kuro (Black in Japanese) but on the decks it's printed CDJ-400 Limited and DJM-400 Limited.
The new 400 Limited set-up will only be
available as a special package (that?s dual CDJ-400-Ks and a DJM-400-K)
and includes a limited edition PRO-440FLT-B blue and black flight case.
Versatile USB-friendly digital media playback
The CDJ-400 comes equipped with a USB port. So, besides CD audio and
MP3 files from CD, DJs can play MP3 music files that have been copied
onto such portable media devices as USB flash memory or USB hard disk
drives*1.
Full MIDI control via USB ? without a control disc
Virtually all buttons/sliders can send MIDI control data via the USB
connection. When the player is connected to a computer, users can DJ,
using files derived from PC, with Pioneer DJ software DJS or Serato
Scratch Live*2 ? without the need for a control disc. The player can
also be used as a generic MIDI controller, to control other MIDI
compatible PC applications.
Innovative Scratch Jog Effects
In addition to the Digital Jog Break Effects (JET, WAH and ROLL) found
in CDJ mode, Pioneer delivers a trio of Scratch Jog Effects, BUBBLE,
TRANS and WAH, in vinyl mode. BUBBLE simulates a scratch technique and
TRANS is like a rhythmic transform with a cross fader, while the WAH
effect resembles the sound of a guitar wah pedal.
Dynamic digital system sports 96kHz/24-bit sampling
The analogue signal input is digitised with a high-quality A/D
converter that samples at 96kHz/24-bit via the shortest of
communications circuits. Mixing is achieved through 32-bit digital
signal processing, resulting in optimum quality without any
deterioration of sound.
Wide range of high-quality Beat Effects
Effects that automatically detect the BPM of the music and sync to the
beat include Delay, Echo, Filter, Flanger, Phaser, Robot and Roll ? all
of which are processed at 24-bit for top quality sound. In addition, by
using the Beat Select Button, the mixer automatically sets the effect
time linked to the BPM. ?
Three-band isolator, separately equipped for each channel
Both channels house a three-band ?kill? (isolator type) EQ that ranges
from +9dB to -∞ (infinity) for total sound management and acute
creative control.
