The new MkII version of the classic scratch deck is available now, and offers a couple of improvements over the original classic scratch deck. Vestax have fitted a new, lower profile platter, and a improved ASTS tone arm, for better record holding which also features a improved height adjustment system on the arm.

On the top of the tonearm mount is a small spring balance that compensates for gravitational force acting against the tone arm. Thus, this system works to provide a constant amount of pressure regardless of tonearm height, or external vibrations. This type of balance helps create a better sound by controlling the pressure at which the needle traces the vinyl.

This new deck also has a smaller footprint than the original model and a tighter pitch control. Includes Ortofon OM Pro Cartridge
