There is a lot of speculations going on, also by artistic people with photoshop and a creative mind. They come op with the most outrages designs. Here are some of them which I've been able to find sofar :

First Try, added the Pioneer logo to make it look real. Only added hotcue visible.
Second guess, mainly optical stuff and some copying of buttons.

Up until now the kind of option of deejaying is, you write all your music out on a post-it note and burn a cd and after a while it gets kind of tedious. The other option ofcourse is to play of DVS, if you want to stick with the traditional deejaying method, so you can use your laptop and do it like that.

But I'm not really a massive fan of like staring at the laptop screen so much. So, what I'd still use my laptop in my sets for effects and things like that. It's really great to know, be able to just look at the player and go through my tracks on that and not have to burn those to cd's or have to stare at the laptop screen.

So it's kind of bringing the deejay back towards the crowd a little bit and putting the element of traditional deejaying and the performance of it all.

Up to date really with modern techology its a, I think it's a nice mix of the two things and yeah it's kind of super convenient and also you know, pretty advanced.

I really can't wait to get it stuck in.

Hey what's up! I'm Armin van Buuren. As you guys know I've switched from vinyl to cd and now the next revolution is here. The new players are absolutely fantastic.

This is really revolutionary for me because I, you normally play longer sets, eight hours. So now I can really prepare my set you know, in advance in the computer and get every thing ready in my books, but still be able to be on the fly, play some odd cd or a guy that comes in with a usb stick with a track he's just finished.

You can prepare your deejay set, your whole box and everything on your laptop in your hotel room, and on the airport.

And guys, I seriously can't wait to start playing with these new Pioneer things.

Looks very Nice!!! Maybe you can make it with a bigger jogweel. If you look at the movie it looks like it's going to have a nine inch jog.

Absoluut.

De Numark HDX, Denon DN-HS5500, en Cortex HDTT-5000 moet je allemaal een losse keyboard meesjouwen, terwijl je toch een laptop hebt die al een keyboard heeft.

En je hebt ook een laptop nodig om je playlists voor te bereiden z.a. Armin ook zegt in zijn teaser video. En waarom zou je dan nog een externe harde schijf willen sjouwen als je toch al een laptop hebt met een interne harde schijf.

Zolang de decks geen controllers zijn z.a. de Stanton SCS.1-d, maar echte players die muziek ophalen van je laptop zou het echt vernieuwend zijn.

I made the jogwheel a bit larger (can't make it much larger because otherwise I'd have to work a lot on the model's geometry) but it seems I'm unable to get the perspective entirely correct... Which would suggest that there is something in the screen that I've overlooked. Look familiar?

As a few others already said, this one will be the closest to the real thing.

Zoals je op het filmpje met Eddie Halliwell kan zien, zit er naast de speler een beeldscherm. Volgens mn collega is het een Midi-Controller, based on the CDJ1000 en DJM 800, met een opklapbaar beeldscherm, 3 kanaaals mixer, en 2 controllers, welke in verbinding staan met het scherm.

Het apparaat krijgt een Wlan verbinding, zodat op locatie men nog nieuwe tracks kan downloaden, kan met vele soorten software geleverd worden, en schijnt erg vet te zijn!

Klopt halfjes wat er wordt beweerd. Het is inderdaad een apparaat met opklapbaar beeldscherm die ook met een Wlan verbinding kan werken. En het kan ook werken met midi. En 3 kanalen is ook mogelijk en vele soorten software.

Maar een laptop voldoet toch ook aan die omschrijving?

Nice UTU I agree with Winson. This Photoshop picture will be it. Mayby some little diferences. But this will be the closesd to the real thing.

More important than how it will look exactly, and its designation, are its "new" features.

According to the 3 teaser videos it will surely be a usb compatible deck. Nowadays you can expect that it's possible to connect two single players to play from one usb storage device.

Numark came first with this idea with it's HDX link, but it wasn't implemented, just a port on the back of the HDX. Then Cortex HDTT-5000 was the first to implement it with what they call master/slave link, followed by Denon DN-HS5500 with a link they called D-sync.

So the big question is: Will the new species be unmasked as just marketing talk or will there be really new things.

Some suggestions:

1. Will it be possible to work with more than 2 decks from the same usb storage device
2. Will it be possible to get music files directly of a laptop from all connected decks
3. Something we never ever could have imagined, and pioneer kept secret

It can record sets. But how will this be done? Like the Numark HDX?
So there must be an audio input, because your set output will come from the master out of your mixer, and an internal harddrive or at least a bigger memory to store your recorded mix.

wlan is onzin... Dan kunnen ook onreine zake de djbooth betreden, en dat is niet echt wat je wil denk ik.
Usb bron sharing lijkt me een mooi idee overigens...
En setje opnemen kun je op meer manieren doen dan de hele stream op een harde schijf opslaan....

Wijzig je avatar svp... Ik hou er niet zo van als mijn artwork en idee wprd gepikt... Tevens zorg dit mogelijk tot verwarring op dit forum. Als je hem op andere fora gebruikt is dat je eigen ding, maar liever niet hier...

Edit: Just think how it'd been a year back... Personally I don't think I could ever get used to playing with polycarbonate white CDJs...

Anders moet je elke dag eens googlen, wss wordt hij vroeger in andere landen voorgesteld. Zou me verbazen dat hij wereldwijd op dezelfde dag zou gereleased worden.

Ondanks dat jullie best gelijk hebben dat we geduldig moeten wachten, blijft het leuk om samen te speculeren tot de dag genaderd is.

Toch is het wel zo, Lead mag ook altijd pas om een specifieke tijd het publiseren. Reden is?mogelijk dat Pioneer een beurs genoteerd bedrijf. Alhoewel ik niet zeker weet of de release van een nieuwe high end DJ Gear product nu zoveel invloed heeft op het totale bedrijf Pioneer.
