I've updated my mixer (from a Nuo 4) and added a Macbook, for recording purposes and to use as a synthesizer with Garage Band '08, acting as a third deck.

Xitrate wrote on 29-02-2008 15:55Very nice set. How is the mixer?
ReleaseYourself wrote on 29-02-2008 16:06The mixer is perhaps the most perfect one I've seen. Soundwise... there is virtually no match to it. Even my Nuo 4 which was already a very good quality mixer, can't compare to this one. The FX Send/Return works perfectly, which is something that almost no other mixer can do. The E.Q is fantastic, although it doesn't give you a 100% cut (with all knobs set at 0 you can still hear a very subtle sound...) but it has an extreme quality in terms of sound and how you control its shape. The faders are top of the line P&G which are very smooth. Im glad I chose this one over the Rotary version, though it would also be a nice option. A fourth channel would be nice though. But this is a very flawless mixer, you only need to add an external effector and you're set.
Adrien1989 wrote on 29-02-2008 16:06Mixer is looking good with the rest of your gear. Haven't seen it before. I'm also not familair with te brand it's from. What kind of quality is it.. Pioneer like or more Reloop like or what? I really like the gold on the mixer.
What program are you running on your computer?
Ziax wrote on 29-02-2008 16:31It's even better then pioneer mixers
You can't get a more pro set then this one...
Congrats m8! Enjoy it

I've played with either the DJM 1000 and 800. Even though they were set with better monitors than those I own, I find the Empath's sound quality to be of higher level. Also in terms of built quality, Rane employs only the best materials like P&G faders and a high grade E.Q.
The DJM 800 is a very nice all in one mixer. But this is different.
Max-E wrote on 29-02-2008 16:41jup, i think rane is even better than Allen and Heath?(than i am talking about the best A&H against the Best Rane

)
soundcollector wrote on 29-02-2008 17:19how I love the alesis monitors

---> great sound for a great price
Enjoy your gear

zeppelin wrote on 29-02-2008 23:24Do you need a amlifier or crossover for the monitors?
And Hows the sound?
bastianhecker wrote on 01-03-2008 13:26nice set, i had to look very good for seeing the real shape of the mixer! its al the same color. I really like your set have fun with it!:D Which style do you play?
ReleaseYourself wrote on 01-03-2008 16:01@ zeppelin
The monitors are active, so there's no need for an amplifier. Considering the price, they deliver the best sound possible in that range.
@bastianhecker
I play mostly techno, electro and minimal.

continua
A suavidade posso atingir usando a E.Q.

ReleaseYourself wrote on 03-03-2008 17:35@mane
Progrezz wrote on 03-03-2008 00:00Supercool set dude!!!
You're a Roger Sanchez Fan??
ReleaseYourself wrote on 03-03-2008 00:27@mane
@Progrezz
Lol... not really. I just find it a catchy dj name.
