Nice mobile set-up. How does the XDJ-Aero play?
But why the Outcast? Have one myself, but I wouldn't recommend it for dj'ing...

The XDJ-AERO plays very well, even without connectivity - emergency loop works very good. Maybe a bit tricky for the non tech DJ ... But then again, (s)he wouldn't buy this one. But it is really nice to play from both laptop (rekordbox) as a source, as my mobile, FX true Pioneer style. A real one for the advanced DJ. Compared to?a PRO set-up some features are missing. But convinced of this choice prevailing over?mid CDJ's and a 2 channel mixer.
Didn't try MIDI yet ...
As a matter of fact, if Pioneer wanted you could use your Mobile to show the Waveforms and it as HID (like CDJ-2000).

For what concerns the Tonium Pacemaker, I pimped it with an SSD so I could shake it any way I want Tongue. And it is the emergency kit any DJ should have. Prices are cheap (2nd hand) and a few bugs to manage I admit. But easy to play with and a quick setup for transition / emergency ...
Personally in this setup - it is an additional 2 channels going over the RMX-1000 as alternate deck 2 on the XDJ.

Glad to answer, have fun?Happy, laughing

Could you explain to me how the RMX-1000 works with the XDJ-AERO?
?

Hi,

First of all, as you, I was dissapointed that there was no SEND/RETURN FX on the device. So you will need to sacrifice something if you want an external effector.

Cool?Today in my setup, I switch between deck 2, and my Tonium Pacemaker as an ADDITIONAL sound source. The sound of this additional sound source passes through the RMX-1000 first and only then it goes to the?LINE IN?of?DECK 2. So I can switch between deck 2 or the other source for mixing.

Cool?In a club/party setup you could complement your onboard FX with those of the RMX-1000, by passing your?MASTER OUT?of the XDJ-AERO through the RMX-1000 and connecting it to the AMPLI/SOUND SYSTEM. And duplicate the sound source (not passing through RMX-1000), use the second MASTER OUT as an additional channel to another AMPLI/MIX pannel. (And playing one - or both Happy, laughing )

Cool? The freaky setup would be passing the MASTER OUT through the RMX-1000, and?again as a sound source (other deck LINE IN - MIC), as amplified sound, great for remastering samples Embarassed

Hope this helps you out a bit !!!

I think I get it Happy, laughing Just one more question: would you recommend buying an XDJ-AERO just for practicing at home? Then take your usb with you and use cdj-2000's or something similar at a party? Thanks alot!!

Wat doet die?Pioneer TONIUM PACEMAKER?eigelijk?
Mooie set man!

@Sjuwen - I do recommend the XDJ-AERO for beginners to advanced DJ's Embarassed. I think price is a tad high, compared to other brands, but certainly fits nicely in the Pioneer range. Somewhat more future proof and versatile, instead of mid range CDJ (350, 400, 800, 850) and a 2channel mixer. But if you are an advanced Professional DJ or studio guru, you' d be better off with the CDJ-2000 and DJM-2000 / DJM-900 NXS.
What is nice - and I use it as you state - quick setup, preparation of your tracks/set with RekordBox and in the Clubs you can re-use your prepared digital media.
