PhonoGraaf wrote on 17-10-2011 08:56I think the Korg Zero 4 is a very nice mixer, but too small for all the knobs. How do you experience that?
And I have never used the Eks Otus, how are those controllers?
(sorry for my English i'm dutch

feestbeest wrote on 17-10-2011 16:59I have an Xone 1D and the knobs there ar also very close but i never mind it. But you dont see that korg much but it looks nice! Something els then a basic pioneer booth!

polarbear wrote on 17-10-2011 17:16hey guys,
thanks for the feedback. ?the zero 4 is a solid mixer, reliable, versatile and sounds great but the knobs are not too sturdy as those on say, A&H. ?I owned a xone 62 and ecler nuo before this, and the zero 4 sounds better. too bad it didn't sell well, it was advanced for its time. ?i don't ride the knobs too much when i mix so the crowded lay-out is just fine. besides, the MIDI function offsets its shortcomings.
as for the eks otus, they're great too. i use it only as a controller, not a soundcard. the strip tempo faders take time to get used to, but i'm okay with it. ?i mix manualy, no sync! i don't scratch so the slight latency is not a problem for me. ?i owned the numark NS7 before this for a short while and the platter response of the NS7 is the best i've had in a controller. but for sound and house mixing smoothnes, the zero4/otus combo is better.
cheers
