The DDJ-800 is the first controller where the hardware functions as a dongle for Rekordbox.

Biggest differences with the bigger Pioneer DJ DDJ-1000 :

2 channel mixer compared to the 4 channels of DDJ-1000
The DDJ-800 has smaller jogwheels so also the jog display is a bit smaller.
The information on the jog display is almost identical to that shown on DDJ-1000
  The crossfader on this controller is our own fader (DDJ-1000 uses a Magval)
The mixer can be used as stand alone mixer, Color FX and BPM FX can only be used when a computer with Rekordbox is connected
