Hey Aeron, strange kind of post you put up here.

What's the purpose of your post?  You could better share your skratch mix with us.

but for your topic, it depends on what kind of equipment you mean:  cd:  pioneer/denon , tt: technics, mixer: mackie/A&H, tape: tascam/revox etc....

it depends on what do YOU think is the best.

Some people think Denon is the best, because the price / quality rating is high.

Other people can say pioneer ís the best, because of the quality..

I think the most of the people say PioneerCry. Or Technics, those two brands are very good! The only problem is the price of these brands, you pay for high quality and the name.

You don't pay for a name, but for R&D (Research & Development). Most brands just use OEM pruduct which are sold as 'their own'. Those decks don't cost a lot.

Once a brand makes and develops their own stuff, the prices are somewhat higher because the investments done in research needs to be paid. Because of the investment in R&D the quality will also be (probably) higher in most cases.

what a useless topic is this, there are only a few brands, not everyone has djgear from one of these brands or may have but thinks some other brand (not listed) is better
Max-E    posted on 17-04-2008 16:29
stanton en synq(OEM lovertje hierzo dus:P)

cd spelers, Pioneer en die van stanton werken ook wel fijn(die c.304 dacht ik, met blauwe leds)

Best dj brand... You can't say that easily, because if you have Pioneer vs Technics, you can't say that one of them is the best because Pioneer isn't making tt's and technics isn't making cdj's (well if we forget the sldzCry)

Best mixer: A&H
Best CDJ: Pioneer
Best TT: Technics

the only thing that i recognized is the code CDJ is for Pioneer only, but why some people used the name CDJ to other cd player brand?

Example:
Denon: DN-S3500, DN-S1000, S 5000
Numark: AXIS 4
Pioneer: CDJ 400, CDJ 800mk2, CDJ 1000mk3
