Hi, welkom :D

Hey Trancegroover, especially for you (and all other English users on the forum ).... My name is Marcel, I'm a professional party dj (bars, weddings, corporate party's) and also owner of a company named YourLiVe entertainment. Under that name we also have a small drive-in show. The gear we use is a Denon 2600 double cd player, a Denon DN-X 1500 mixer and a HK Lucas 2000 PA system. We also have 2 T4 bars with PAR 56 spots on them.

The cd players and mixer are build into a 19 inch flightcase, the mixer has an original mounting kit since it's a 12 inch mixer. I told Lead I'm a Denon fan, but I don't like their new double cd-players. They are not so easy to use and are having trouble with reading some of my (original!) cd's. This last issue also goes for Pioneer, at least the CMX 5000 which I used several times. The single players from Pio are a little to basic for me...

It sounds like you have a great business going!
I think I would maybe like to start something like your business here in the US.

Also, my friend just bought the Denon DN-X1500 mixer and he loves it, he is especially proud that it has a USB cable to get updates.

It's nice meeting you and I wish you good luck with your business!

Hey guys,

Thanx for making me feel welcome here...

@trancegroove : It is really great to be your own boss, much easier to get a day off or so . Also, you make money off the work you put into the business, so you're much more motivated to work than when the profit goes to your boss. But be aware, the beginning costs a lot of money and if you have a lot of costs and no income...  Maybe start as a part-time enterpreneur?

Anyways, one point of advise: do it wright or don't do it at all. So buy quality gear, get a professional website, logo etc, be friendly to your customers and advertise a lot. As said, it will cost you! Good luck if you go through with your plans!

PS : I love the DN-X 1500 as well!

-Wim yes I'm learning a little here and there.

Marcel,

I would definitely start out part time, just to make sure it would work for me. Professional website, professional logo, no problem I would have fun doing that. I would probably start it with my friend too...(the one that has the x1500).

But all of that is not in the near future, but maybe a year or two down the road.

But thanks for the advice!

oh btw will you send me your website? you can email me @: <mail>jjuhl@nc.rr.com</mail>
dank
