NottinghamSince most of the posts on the site are in dutch... I was thinking it would be fun if you guys posted some helpfull Phrases and words with their translation into English? It could be anything from: I like this track! --> to --> I like this girl!
I thought it would good to amaze my friends with my dutch aswell as help all the english speakers know what is going on in the forum

Correct, but the difference between dit and dat often comes very close. Dit you mean this or that! So I thought iv'e he wants to learn Dutch, please learn it the right way.
(I have to admit that my Englisch is also not the best you can get)

haha :P that sounds very funny.. yeah i really liked londen. nice city and the english people are very helpful if you ask them something.. the hollanders are the opposite of this :P. and a very nice town. have seen much and really liked it . only lost my iPod on the plane back home. but i will get a new one haha :D

'-je' behind a noun actually indicates that it is the more little version of the noun. You can have 'boom' which means 'tree' and 'boompje' which means 'little tree' . Although the difference between English and Dutch is that 'meisje' is used as a sweet nickname for a girl you like. In English 'little girl' is the same as 'jong meisje' in the meaning of a young girl.
