Since most of the posts on the site are in dutch... I was thinking it would be fun if you guys posted some helpfull Phrases and words with their translation into English? It could be anything from: I like this track! --> to --> I like this girl!Cry

I thought it would good to amaze my friends with my dutch aswell as help all the english speakers know what is going on in the forumCry

well. i like this track example -> ik vind dit nummer leuk.
i like this girl -> ik vind dat meisje leuk.
we're DJ's -> wij zijn dj's
i like this kind of music -> ik vind deze muziekstijl leuk.

maybe you can download somewhere a form 'where i can learn dutch'. because there are to many phrases in dutch :P

Sunrise8    posted on 30-10-2007 17:33

This is from the topic about the production section translated into English:
"The file must wrapped up be with the zip format so that there also a information blade added."

I don't know what an 'information blade' is but it sounds bad Cry

'-je' behind a noun actually indicates that it is the more little version of the noun. You can have 'boom' which means 'tree' and 'boompje' which means 'little tree' . Although the difference between English and Dutch is that 'meisje' is used as a sweet nickname for a girl you like. In English 'little girl' is the same as 'jong meisje' in the meaning of a young girl.

The DJ-world contains a lot of English word, so you may see the global lines of a story. If you want any Dutch text translated into English, don't hesitate to contact one of the mods, admins or members!

You're right Winking my eye These kind of mistakes I make because I do not really often use my English writing and vocabulary.
