Hey all - I'm new to the forum (and dj-ing) and was looking for some advice. I'm looking to buy a beginner kit. I love vinyl and have over 2,500 lp's. I'm primarily looking to just run a continious play list, not scratch. I'm looking for a basic kit, either Numark, Stanton or Gemini, and have no idea what to look for, or if some brands are just shite. So a good sound, and something that comes with a good stylus as most of my vinyl is first pressing and some very rare. Right now I'm using a Technics. Or am I better off just getting another Technics, mixer, etc? Thx
What do you think about Newbie ??

This will be a birthday gift from my wife. I'm just trying to give her a hint.
Budget is $300-$500 US. Not sure how high end I'll need to go as I'll just be straight plating or mixing - no scratching.
Some of the Stanton & Numark packages seem ok, but what do I know?
Numark is a nice solution when you want a good price/quality relation.
They make nice product for the money. Technics SL12..MK2 is the moste
decent deck to go for. Mixers... you might want to take a look at
Numark's DMX series for a nice 2 channel mixer.
Or check the DJM-707, I believe Pioneer USA has a nice deal on it.
