Pioneer 800 MKII or Denon DNS 3500 
Hey everyone
i used to have a set comprising 2 x Pioneer CDJ 800 MKIwhich io sold them today and now im confised between getting new CDJ 800 MKII or DENON DNS 3500 .
Which unit offers better beatmatching and time spane duration?
I've tried the 800's for over 3 years and i've been very happy with them , tried to play on DNS 3500 and these babies seem good , but as a Matter of HEAVY DUTY and duration what do you advise me ?

The Denon has more bells and whistles (effects for example) but when it comes to heavy duty and duration pioneer is what you need.

Utrechtextreme heavy duty pioneers. check out the djresource demo video about the cdj800 and you'll see how heavy duty it can take :D

Pioneer is the Technics of the cd-player, they already have proven their reliabilty. My local dj-shop (that has about every brand possible) won't even sell the Denons anymore cause they had too many costumers that complained after a few months. Yes, you can buy the DNS-3500 and never have any problems, but is it worth the risk? Also, when playing out, it will be most likely that there will be Pioneers.

yesterday i played with both cd players
i prefer the pioneer.. the denon is too small with too many knobs on it.. sound quality and effects are great on denon and you have handy pitch bend knobs ,
but i would go for the pioneer

That's true, but in this case the CDJ is simply a "stronger" cd player. I have already seen a lot of disco's with Pioneer CDJ's but not a single one with a Denon cd player (accept for the double decks), which shows that the pio's are more durable.

If you want heavy duty, i would suggest the pioneers (just watch the demo movies here on DJR). They are extremely good devices!! I have worked with denon to and i must say that the pioneers are better for heavy duty jobs (but this is based on my own experiences off course).

i didn't try the dns3500 but i got the dns1000 and are very very good...turntables like cdj800 mk2 are too expensive 4 a student...if you haven't problem with the cost i think numark hdx it's better...
the discos use pioneer because EVERYONE knows pioneer...other trademarks like denon, vestax & numarx are know less than pioneer...but it don't mean it's better...
I played with both players for many hours. Personally I will choose the pioneer cdj800mk2.
simple reason: it's much faster and almost every dj is familiar with the pioneer standards.
If you like effects just add an extra effect machine to your system.

sure!! everybody uses pioneer gear cuz it's much easier touse... but the denon, if we speak about the performance, are better... I use denon... but I've tried many times piooner gear like cdj's && mixers...personally, I don't like it...
