Well, Its my first post here and my english is very poor, so ignore any mistakes.

I have pair of CDJ 200, and sometimes in one CDJ the cue button doesn't work, and I have to press a twice to set a cue point, to stop or to stutter . And in the another one, the effects are taking more time to be called, like the JET, when the CDJ was new, one turn in the jog and it was activated, but now I've to give more turns in it...

Somebody knows what's happening?

Thanks.

Do u use mp3 discs or regular cd's?
thtanaka    posted on 04-07-2007 19:27
I use Mp3 discs. All the musics are in 192K
PatrickBeuken    posted on 04-07-2007 19:31
Try it with a normal cd. The CDJ200 doesn't support mp3 very well, for example longer loading times and a slower reaction to buttons.

I also think that's the case.. try it out with regular audio CD's.

And at least make sure that you're using MP# with a Constant bitrate (CBR) and not a variable one (VBR)

the most ripped vinyls are vbr....

Nope..The CDJ doesn't work well using regular CD's either..And my CD's are in 192K CBR.

There's only one solution left: take it back to your dealer.

But there's no warranty more...I think it's better I change my set, because the 200 gave me too much problems for now. It's better I buy another 200 ou change to a MK3?

Buying a new one is almost always more expensive than reparing the old one. There isn't a CDJ200 MK3, there's only a CDJ1000 MK3. A new CDJ1000 MK3 is more expensive than a new CDJ200.

It's because you don't live in Brazil man..Here the assistence it's a big @#$@ they don't do service. And when they do I have to spend a lot money to some months after broke again.. It's because of this I want to buy a MK3 (CDJ 1000 I was trying to say..) or buy a new pair..(I'll have to play more in the discos here.. :P)

How long did you have the CDJ-200's?

If it's long enough and you're ready for upgrading to CDJ-1000's you can do that offcourse.

I'd bought it in 2006. But before I bought the 200's I played in vinyls..

Try to check if the detection of the jogwheel works good. When you pause the player halfway a track and you rotate the jogdial around, the frame position should change smoothly and even. If this is not smooth the position detector of the jog might be damaged (for techies it's an easily replacible part).

Well..The jog are changing the frames smoothly as always..And in this test I note one thing that I didn't seen before, while I'm turning the jog, sometimes it "catch" in the internal parts..There's any dirty here?
