No, the only people who know this kind of information are told to shut their mouth about it Winking my eye

There is no such news... Pioneer will keep their mouths shut, or release a press release... It's not like them to tease people Winking my eye

Allthough I will add that on this website you'll probably read that type of news first... Or at least when Pioneer releases a press release you can find all extended info here...

We have some 'inside info' Winking my eye

I've heard that pioneer is developing an new mp3 system. I don't know the details but thats what i've heard about new equipment from pioneer.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Pioneer better be working on a new Mp3 system, because they will lose their leading position in the market if they don't.
Sandr    posted on 02-05-2007 18:55
Indeed but i didn't figure that out, it's a rumour i've heard.
But i'm looking forward to it. Maybe a mp3 system with the quality of the pioneer cdj's.

My suggestion for an MP3 system: CDJ800 or CDJ1000 which can connect to standard USB-harddrives and read MP3. Also, an optional unit to connect to a HDD via USB and to CDJ's with ethernet. some jogwheels on it + LCD screen to find and select songs and buttons to load that song in one of the connected CDJ-players... this unit could be placed a little above the mixing console, in the middle of the booth...

To manage song collection, just hook up a computer - via usb directly to the harddrive, or via ethernet to the  selection unit....

Maybe all of this can even be done via wi-fi. Secured of course...

no the denon don't have all the functions

but in fact it isn't stupid to use ethernet connection in CDJ's modern Amplifers like Crown I-tech series can be controlled over Ethernet.

so if a Big club have a Serverroom they can store all the songs on it and simply control it by a CDJ with an Ethernet connection

I now the denon doesn't have all the functions quibus discribes but his main idee a hard disk in a cd player (also like the denon hd-2500)
actually the main idees of quibus already excist in one way or an other.

But your idee of a big server in a club with al songs i think it's a little bit crazy, and not practical.
and i the time that that can be realised harddisk's will be so small with so big capacitey that the idee is not really good of a server in a club

(k*t man wat is engels schrijven toch moelijk)

no, i dont exactly want a cd-player with built-in hdd, but rather a media player that can connect to an external hdd. But you should be able to hook up one external hard disk to several cd/media-players, so that you can access all of your songs on that single hard disk from every connected player.

and i think that the most flexible way to do this is via a kind of network hub. connect the hard disk to the hub, which has lcd screen, search function etc, and is connected to the players through an ethernet-connection. From this hub-unit you can select the song, and the load on one of the players.

And i dont want it from Denon, I want it from Pioneer Cry

I don't think they are comming with an new EFX. Whe now have the New mixers, with almost the same effects as the EFX. Are the EFX series sold much? I don't know, but I think that not many people will buy an EFX, because they can buy the mixers for almost the same money (okay a little bit more). But now you have a mixer and an Effector in one.

Pioneer CDJ Future: A decked up version of the DVJ with full Wave-form analysis in under 0.05 secs, CD/DVD - R/RW compatible + MP3 (VBR/CBR), 5 hot cues, midi, USB/Firewire option, larger display (LCD) and the biggest modification.. the METAL platter (with vinyl-like coating on the surface).. Direct drive and rotating (like 'em denons but made by Pioneer of course!).. with the torque to put other TTs to shame...Winking my eyeBigger and rotating platter wud improve the CDJ scratching experience tremendously!!

Pioneer Mixer Future: DJM 800 rocks!! but they can provide full kills on the EQ's, provide the touch screen experience of DJM 909, curve adjust knob instead of 3 way switch giving the sharpest cut-offs for cross-fader, faders from 909 (yea baby!!), full midi, usb/firewire interface & scratch-proof coating.

You can always dream, but the Mp3upgrade will not happen in the near future, why?
cause Pioneer is standing solid and selling like never before on the CDJ's and DJM series.

Do we need USB and Harddrive SHEIT, No we don't

Look @ Denon, they have lots of trouble, and don't even talk about Numrik and Cortex *lol*
what a JOKE!

Maybe, and i say (maybe), they do an update for the DVJ's and also a new digital mixer for Video

in my opinion harddrives are to fragile, don't stand a chance against CD / Dvd's when it comes to reliablilty

Sure cd's may skip, but then again if they do you don't take care of your records or u burn way to fast.

DJM 800 with touchscreen, where would u put that in that case?, theres no room, and there will always be a king on the throne, and it's the DJM 909, nothing stands even close.

DJM 800 may be digital all the way through, but it lacks PUNCH and the FX are just a laugh nothing more, djm 909 is a raw beast, the sound is ideal för Electronic music, fat, raw and solid, and with the FX pad you can mix anyway u like.

No let the other prods play with unstable media and leave the good stuff to the professionals!
