Basicly all DVD's you can purchase will work in the DVJ-X1. Please do note that the DVJ-X1 has a regional code which will only play DVD's that you've purchased locally or discs that have region 0.
Also keep in mind that the US version is an NTSC machine and will hardly play any PAL discs. The European sold models are PAL and should play most NTSC discs that you put into it.
The DVD market is in motion but for this moment there are not so much new and good to use discs. But use a computer DVD burner and take a look at your MP3 collection. With some video edit softweare you should be able to create some of your own content in a flash.
