Yo, Newbie Here 
Yo wazz up? Im 17, and freezing my @$$ off here in Canada. Ive been really into techno and dance music for the longest time so I decided to take the plunge creating my own, I got the programs, I got music, and I got the time, but I dont got the knowledge I'll be checking the tips probally like 70% of the time...
----> dumb question here how should I invest my $$, what should I aim for when it comes to these kinds of hardware, keep in mind I'm a computer oriented person

I'm not much into hardware, but I've heard some killing things from softsynths that I wonder if hardware is still the best to go with...
