Pioneer EFX-1000 effects unit (1/2)

   

Read this product review here.... Pioneer has just announched the arrival of a new product : the Pioneer EFX1000 effects unit. This is the big brother of the EFX-500, with more effects that can be adjusted with the same ease as you are used to when using the EFX-500.

NIce looking piece of equickment, alleen zo duur...

Zeg maar gerust TE duur, ben benieuwd wat de prijs van de EFX 500 nu gaat doen, wellicht dat mijn AirFX dan plaats moet gaan maken ;o)

Veel geld misschien wel (prijs is nog niet bekend overigens)... maar daar krijg je dan ook wel wat voor terug (hele topic komt later vanavond) :

wauw, ziet er (zoals alles van pioneer eigenlijk) gruwelijk uit!
tis idd wel dat je betaald wat je er voor krijgt, maar toch opvallend dat pioneer de laatste tijd met steeds duurdere producten op de markt komt (DJM-909, DVJ-X1, en dan nu EFX-1000)

Ik ben zeker benieuwd naar de effecten.

Nee, niet meer effecten, maar wel meer combineer mogelijkheden. Die 909 blijft nog even effecten kampioen. Maar vet wordt hij zeker, en goede kwaliteit : 24-bit/96kHz digital-sampling system met 32-bit digital sound processing...  beter dan een gemiddelde CD speler zou ik zo zeggen

Klopt, die is ook nog niet bekend gemaakt. Zodra ik hem weet zal ik hem wel posten.

Weet er al iemand hoeveel ie zou gaan kosten en wanneer hij precies uitkomt ( de exacte datum? )

Prijs is nog steeds niet definitief gemaakt, dus dat blijft nog even gokken. Het toestel moet ongeveer in februarie in de winkels liggen... Maar hou deze site in de gaten, we maken er zeker melding van als het toestel is gearriveerd :D

Weet er iemand of je de efx-1000 al op voorhand kan bestellen zodat je ze direcht hebt als ze uit is ? of is dit niet mogelijk ?

you know.. i'm very impressed with the upgrade from the 500.  i use my 500 in the same way as James Zabiela does and i was starting to feel a little restricted with what i could and could not do with the 500. 
But, bravo to pioneer for addressing all my issues that i had with the 500.  i'm really looking forward to testing the EFX 1000 out, and i think i'm gonna be really impressed and pleased with the level of freedom and extra hands on control that the 1000 offers aside from the 500. 

one thing i heard bothers me though.  James Zabiela said that the prototype that he was using and experimenting with literally BLEW up on him.  Now although he was only using a prototype, some things like that are to be expected, but i would be extremely upset if i purchased one for my personel use yet alone a club setting and it blows up on me;  or even worse while i'm djing.

A blowing EFX-1000... hmmm.... sounds LOUD

I don't think you have to be affraid about an EFX doing something like that. I've never heard from anything like that. I also don't know that story about James....

you can buy an EFX without hesitation, the changes that it might blow up is very very very very slim.. (nearly impossible, because inside of the EFX that are only a few rare parts that could explode. Only condensators could do this, and that are component of 1 cm long and a few mm in width. The cendensators needed for a big blast are bigger than the EFX...

weet iemand wat dat ding gaat kosten en heeft iemand ervaring met het kopen van apparatuur in het buitenland. Ik weet dat udg nogal actief is met grijze import. Als ik zie wat dat spul in engeland doet t.o.v. nederland dan is het hier schrikken

I watched James Zabiela last night in San Francisco and his EFX 1000 unit was replaced in the middle of his set by a technician after it cut out at least twice for 5 seconds at minimum. Still a prototype?

Lead, are you planning to make another demo movie.... the efx-1000 seems like an intresting thing to make a movie about

We're working on the idea, at this moment there is only 1 EFX-1000 in NL so it rotates constantly for demo's and tests.
