DJM400 and CDJ800MK2 set

im planning to a CDJ800MK2 with the DJM400 mixer. i just want to get some ideas and/or suggestions which player im gona buy. coz read from the review the DJM400 mixer has a bit cutter is it the same with the CDJ800 bit cutter?
do you think i can go for the CDJ1000MK3 with the DJM400 mixer?

Check the DJ topics about the DJM400 and the CDJ800MK2... You will find all the information you need to know. The bEAT (not bit) cutter on the DJM400 is similar to the beatcutter on the CDJ800, but is slightly more expanded. Personally, i would not combine the CDJ1000 with a DJM400, as (in my oppinion) CD players as professional as the CDJ1000 should be accompanied by a propper 4 channel mixer.
If you opt for the CDJ1000, i would take a look at the Ecler nuo5 (which is the one i would suggest), A&H Xone:62, or the Denon DNX-1500, or alternatively the top-notch Pioneer DJM800 and the A&H Xone:92 if your budget allows it.

In my opinion you could combine the CDJ-1000 with the 2 channel DJM-400, as long as you're sure 2 channels is all you ever need to facilitate your style.
Also there is nothing wrong to combine the CDJ-800 with DJM-400. You get the beat cutters double up, but that can't be a problem.
If an effect like the beatcutter is only on the mixer it is often only assignable to one deck. So double sets of efx may be a benefit. But the in the case of the DJM-400 the beat cutter works with a loop sampler. This works independent from the player. The benefit is that you can use a loop of a song that is not playing on one of the players.
And of course a set with the 800 will cost you less than one with 1000's. If it suits your style you can go for the CDJ-800.

Thanks Winston that was a very good idea you gave me regarding the CDJ800s and the DJM400s beatcutter. any reviews comparing the CDJ800 to the S3500? im sorry to ask you this question regarding reviews, i was going into some of the forums in this site but i cant understand the language.

The Soundcolector says the DN-S3500 is better because of its rotating platter and more options.
MaxM gives some reasons why one should choose the CDJ-800.
The jogwheel feels better, but he doubts that, because the DN-S3500 also has a great jog.

Jorrit doesn't share the idea that the correction character is the same as a turntable. He also mention two bugs that happened at one of his gigs. The cue point disappears when scratching on the first beat and the player got into reverse when changing jogmode. He thinks its unacceptable for a deck of 800 euro.
Frisbee is satisfied with the DN-S3500. He bypasses the bugs and believes there will be a software update very soon.
Winston doesn't like the track selection with a rotating knob.
Lead doesn't want to adjust his DJ-ing technique to a bug which should not be there. And the software update is pending for more than a half year.
Jorrit doesn't mind the fewer options on the CDJ-800, because he has an effects mixer.
Zuur is an owner of the DN-S3500. He knows the trick to avoid the bug and he has never experienced the cue bug during his sets. The reverse bug happens but a lot must be done in a sequence before this happen. He says the Denons are super.
Dion says its better to test things yourself.
Exavize says the Denons is fully metal, while the Pioneer is plastic.
If you like to know more it may be better read some reviews of both players and if necessary start a topic in the english gear section and ask some specific questions that are applicable to your own situation. If you just ask a general question such as what's better, you'd start an endless debate.
