Hey,

I'm Bart aka dj Lombok.

I'm turntablist/sampler in a dutch crossover band called dreadlock pussy.

I've been a turntablist for about 6 years now.
So far we've released 2 studio albums, an EP and 4 singles of wich the videoclips appeared on channels like MTV, TMF and The Box.

We've played on several huge Dutch festivals like Pinkpop, Lowlands (2x) and freedomfests and had the oppurtunity to support great bands like Rammstein, (Hed) PE, Disturbed and Machinehead.

We're currently working on our 3rd studio album wich will be released somewhere around januari 2005 in the BeNeLux, Germany and hopefully other countries.

I'm a fulltime musician and an incredible gearfreak.

Check the CDX-topic. My reply there explains it all, I guess.
I tried it at Conijn Muziek Eindhoven and I was convinced.

For turntablism I think it's the only cd-player that practically works and feels like a real turntable.
So what did you choose?

Lead, I've never had the oppurtunity to try out the DJM 909, so I don't really have an opinion.
Yes, it's a coincidence my DJ name is the same as this area in Utrecht.

I got it because my fellow bandmates always caught me with a bag op kroepoek with spicey pieces of Lombok. Bullshit story huh? hehehehehe

Yeah they've got the transparent bags with red letters, but also these yellow bags with all sorts of herbs in it.

I tried to upload an image from my pc several times and everytime I do, it says, upload succesful.

Now, why then, is there still no avatarvisible everytime I post something. F(*$%#$ING pc's.

I noticed that you're into vinyl, the DJM-909 had awsum settings for your crossfader and lots (50) effects onboard, 15 from those 50 have a parameter on a fader... Check this topic

You avatar is some other problem. You can only use an avatar if it's smaller than 100x100 pixels. The avatar you tried to upload is 462x437 pixels. Just resize the picture with Photoshop or Paint and it's no problem.

Now let's hope I'm able to resize my damn avatar. Photoshop is not really my kind of program

Sorry for being a nag about this, but I resized the pic to 100x95, wich is smaller than 100x100 from my point of view, uploaded again succesfully, but it still doesn't work.
