My question After purchasing the DJ set from Citronic: Citronic cd6 ultima = DJ controller + double CD 6 CD players. Citronic SM FX500 ultima, 4 channel mixing console I mainly used this with my laptop in terms of playing music and occasionally with CDs on the CD players. At least of the two players, CD player B (right) was already having a hard time not picking up CDs (regular original ones also). And A(left) one time it takes a while and gives me a hard time selecting a track and may also go along with the issues to start/play and the other time it works perfectly. Until one day (2 weeks ago) the CD players no longer opened and the DJ controller (with jog-wheels) with its two (well, bright blue) lit LCD screens showed a blank display (no sign(s) or text)....?!? Now, then I went looking for any mention or registration of possibly a service desk and / or customer service telephone number on the internet, but that did not take me any further. In fact, the courage sank further in my shoes after reading all kinds of bankruptcy and subsequent vague takeovers, that I thought let me try again via an Audio / DJ forum to find out more or perhaps even a possible,
(to get/receive or otherwise, encounter )a suitable problem solution?!? Who knows !? I also looked in the manual for any indications and/or mention of, for example, a console or complete unit (hard)reset option. But didn't encountered any remark to solve the problem either.
So now my desperate call for help,.... >> Anyone outthere have any info. even if that might be small or large or of any value...?!?
Please, please respond..
You're very much appreciatie already if you made the effort to read my full describtion of my issue/problem
Huge thanks in advance!
Hi Paul,
Citronic is currently distributed in the Netherllands by AVSL, perhaps you can contact them to see if they can service your machine ?
https://www.avsl.com/brands/citronic
If your lucky the read-errors are caused by a dirty laser that might need a good cleanup. This could be done by any electronics service company. You could try www.kebe.nl for that eventhough I'm not sure if they can help you.
But it might cost you more to service the deck than to replace it.
Lead , thank you very, very much for this usefull information. I will sure try first to find some kind of solution, hopefully, at AVSL and from there I am gonna weigh other continuing options.
Thanks again
Kind regards
