UtrechtWill rekordbox DVS work out of the box or do I need to worry about license keys when buying it?

On the Rekordbox support page, I do see that hardware unlock is supported for DVS control. However, since I've also seen licence keys been mentioned, I'm a bit confused and afraid that when we give this mixer for his birthday, he might not be able to use it as wanted. So really looking forward to a definitive answer.

He will be able to use it as the DJM-450 is a Hardware Unlock Device so when connected you can use DVS.
The license key was only for Rekordbox 5, but as this is replaced by Rekordbox 6 there is no place to put that key. Also the license servers has been disabled so there is nothing to verify that key against
