When/at what speed should you change songs during your set?

Hi

A question I pose myself sometimes when I play, is how quickly I should go to the next song in the set.

I tend to play songs quite long, which is liked by some people. But other people like a song for 30s or 1m and then they want the next.

What are your thoughts/experiences? What kind of equilibrium works best for you?

Kind regards, Matteo Kopriva

I always do.my mix as quickly as possible. The audience probably knows the tracks you're playing so I would favor to do some additional cross mixes an hour.

But it depands on the track or style. In trance I would play more of the songs but in harder styles I would just mix as much tracks per hour as possible.

Let the BASS be louder

It all goes with the mood, when go fast, go fast when go slow, go slow. Try to have a balance or a loop and see how you control the crowd.
