The DVJ does put this on the output aswell, if selected in the menu of the DVJ.
The CDJ-1000MK3 (and CDJ-800MK2) output 16-bit/44.1kHz.
So DVJ upscales the sample rate, CDJ product don't.

Does anyone one know if there will be a more "consumer" version of the dvj.. because there is no way that i will afford a djv.. If i was in an other country i would afford it.. but it costs 5,000$ in Norway

Whooo. USD 10,000 for two? Must leave them for your dreams.
But I think, don't know for sure, that the higher sampler rate is for video processing. Probably you won't hear improved sound quality. The sound quality of the CDJ-1000 is already on top of everything. If you like digital sound.

Hmm.... it all looks good to me; smart of Pioneer to distanciate themselves from "the rest" by not following the tendancy to make budget DVD solutions (such as Numark) but to focus themselves exclusively on the high-end market. I hope that someday propper DVD technology will become more accessible for the hobbyist as well, but at the moment its just for dreaming, as winston said. What i don't understand is why Pioneer decided to update their current DVJ instead of allocating funds to the development of a propper video switcher; seeing as Edirol still prettymuch has a monopoly there...
Maybe they are. You remember that a few weeks or months after the DVJ-X1 was announced, the VSW-1 was also released? But we just have to wait and see.
