In de Biography op hun website vond ik het volgende stukje:

E-TCR was set up as a music label in October 2004 in response to the unstoppable tide of technological progression. The emergence of CD turntables like the Pioneer CDJ1000 in the last 18 months that are able to emulate the exact nuances of vinyl turntables have delivered a clear choice between vinyl and digital as your format of choice. Similarly with advancements like Final Scratch and Abletonwhich allows the smooth incorporation of mp3's into DJ sets have set a precident for the format.

E-TCR allows us the freedom to become broader in the spectrum of our A&R'ing. It gives us the ability and flexability to release tracks that are slightly more eclectic and outside the usual span of ATCR. Our releases will be available as CD Singles and digital downloads as well as being available for compilation use. Limited edition 500 unit runs of vinyl will follow after the digital release featuring two digital releases per piece of vinyl on our most in demand releases.
