He actually Is playing a song. The Red lighted cue-button means there is a cue-point stored 'under' that button, it doesn't mean the player is stopped. (when the player is in pause the both knops flash, if it is in cue the play button flashes, but you see a signal in the DJM-800, so there is sound.)

gethigh means that all the faders are closed.
The dj is playing a song, but there isn't any sound..
He could be using the Roll function on Channel 4.... allthough the master doesn't have any signal either.
Let the BASS be louder

There is a dual setup at the venue with a Numark System installed, which is currently in use, and he is waiting to go back on and do another set...
