?I am looking to get back in the mix. The last time I touched music it was vinyl on a pair of 1200's back in 1997. New technology and beats have resurrected?my itch to play. I have researched the net looking for what suits me best. I don't know anyone in the industry anymore to ask questions, or mess with their gear. So, I am jumping in head first.
?I am looking to buy second hand before going in?too deep. I plan on using most music directly from my laptop. So far, I have narrowed down my search to a pair of used CDJ800 MK2's. What I am unsure of is how to marry the 800's to my laptop with the appropriate software, to pull and mix music. Previously I toyed around with Virtual DJ to mix music directly on my laptop using the mouse. This was mildly amusing for about 20 minutes, but that?s about it... I really need to feel what I am doing at my fingertips, not by mixing with a mouse. I still have not searched for a mixer. Two channels would be sufficient.
?I will keep looking at previous posts on here. In the meantime please feel free to ask any questions or leave any advice.
