Pioneer guru's:

What is the benefit/advantage of running your Traktor via the DJM900 Nexus soundcard as opposed to the aggregated (software) soundcard of the CDJ900/2000, in a set-up that has both the CDJ's and the DJM mentioned. Both methods will allow for the use of the CDJ HID functionality, IMO...

Curious to hear your ideas. Lead? Thumbs Up

What do you think about Traktor: DJM900Nexus or CDJ900/2000 soundcard ??

De benefit is that you don't have Aggregated the sound-cards of de CDJs. The CDJ will only do the Control Feature. Also you can use Channel 1 and 4 as?remix decks C & D. I don`t now how many CDJs you have in the DJ booth. If there a 2 CDJ you can still use?4 decks of Traktor by switching between decks on the CDJs. If you switch between the decks the decks currently playing will continuous playing.

Example: CDJ1 is playing on your mixer?True Channel?2 and CDJ2 is Playing True?Channel 3.?When?you are controlling Deck A with CDJ 1 and you have mix the deck A in Deck B that playing with CD 2 but you want to mix a?third Deck in, Deck C playing True Channel 1. You can switch to deck C by holding down the browser button of the CDJ.?You can choos between deck ABCD.

when you do use the DJM900NXS as a soundcard divice, Traktor will be more stable. When you do switch between Traktor and CD's or USB/SD divice Traktor will continue without an unexpected error.

Canta, that's for sure. True. I forgot to mention that stability of Traktor is better if you use the Soundcard of the DJM.

I've you have a top quality soundcard, stability shall be the same, maybe better than you use a build-inn soundcard.

No, Tek. I disagree. If you use the build in card you don't ave to plug in?so many wires. Only the USB wires.

Stability doesn't come with just a high quality soundcard. The drivers and computer are just as important. But the CDJs have been known to not function 100% with Traktor, the DJM 900 has full Traktor support. So use the mixer.

Ha OK, i understand, less wires = less chance to distortion ?

Here at home I am still using mine Audio8DJ because I owned a DJM700. Sometime a have little distortion or?Sound dropouts?because I have?a 7 Poort powered USB?hub. And on that hub I have mine?2 CDJ900s, Maschine, 2?NI Kontrol X1 and a NI Kontrol F1. Sometimes it is to much for mine MacBookPro when the computer is on too long. That is why i want to upgrade to a DJM850, DJM900 of maybe a Xone 92. But maybe when I upgrade my RAM to 8GB that problem will be to the past.
