Real El Canario Live @ Luxurush 2004 (3/3)

   

Klopt dat het van Stiko is, MAAR die is wel op het idee gekomen door chuckie zijn set... Want chuck kwam hier zelf mee aan, en later dacht Stiko dat hij daar een mix moest van maken. Maar van Stiko is ook vetter:P

Wil weten hoe dat nr tussen Sientilo van Speedy, en Lorna's nrtje staat... die is echt wreed. Als iemand het weet?

ik heb een tijdje de discussie gevolgd, en vond het toch nodig om even te reageren. het lijkt wel alsof niemand hier weet dat de helft wat chuckie "live" draait/mixt, gewoon voorgemixte dingen zijn?!
en dan bedoel ik niet een mash-up'je, maar echt meerdere overgangen naar meedere tracks, du secht 'delen' van sets..
en dan niet met platen of cd's, nee, gewoon met software, thuis. erg makkelijk als je het mij vraagt dus mijn respect zal hij nooit krijgen. Real daarentegen is wat rauwer/echter. Niet helemaal mijn ding qua muziek (allebei niet trouwens), maar hij is niet bang om een keer een foutje te maken want hij is wel een vakman.
Verder zou het slim zijn als chuckie eens stopt met zichzelf zo op te hemelen en te verkopen, terwijl ie ondertussen claimt het 'allemaal voor de muziek' te doen. Je ziet ook dat zijn publiek steeds meer en meer bestaat uit..ehm..hoe zeg ik dit netjes...'simpele boer(inn)en'? Als hij z'n grote broer niet zou hebben die die grote feesten organiseert en hem daar vervolgens een soortvan middelpunt van maakt, was het heel anders gelopen met 'm. Wel aardig van broerlief dat ie hem van de ondergang wist te redden op het moment dat z'n tijd een beetje had gehad 
(wat naar mijn mening nog steeds zo is trouwens)

tja voor iedereen is een eerste keer he..heb niet zo lang geleden dit forum ontdekt
zag niet echt reden om me meteen in te schrijven..want..niet om negatief te doen ofzo maar 90% hier is grootspraak en ik zie een hoog 'zie-mij' gehalte. iedereen, of nee, VEEL mensen hier willen zich bewijzen en daar ben ik een beetje overheen gegroeid (klink oud he?!) maar deze thread heeft me toch over de streep getrokken om me in te schrijven en te bemoeien

hoe ik aan de info kom..omdat ik al een tijdje meeloop in de scene, vooral achter de schermen, en hij en ik veel gezamelijk vrienden hebben.
maar ik dacht eigenlijk dat dit een beetje algemeen bekend was (in mijn kringen wel namelijk), vandaar mijn verbazing en dat ik het even kwijt wilde!

Okee dan, hebben we natuurlijk weer wat geleerd! Maar hij doet dus echt complete overgangen via één cd?

ok guys, surfing on the net i bumped into this forum, its late but i would like to clarify a few things.

1st: Luxurush 2004 was the worst nightmare of my entire career!!!! let me tell the story:

I came up in the dj booth, and stage manager tells me: Real, after Rashid & madskillz you gotta play this Cd (with Pharrel's Frontin in it) cuz theres gonna be a Dance act, right after MC introduces you and you start your set. So i get their Cd ready and when Rashid finishes the MC out of sudden instead introduces ME!!! i didnt even have a CD ready! Thats why U hear i start the set with frontin all along!! wich feels totally oquard and unnormal if you know how i spin.

at that point i was already turned off... then guess what!
Rashid and madskillz playing with vynil, and the Cd set was connected totally wrong!!!!!!! (the left Cd on the right channel, right CD on the left channel and so on).. so i called the sound guy, he shows up totally drunk, starts messing with the cables and guess what! SOUND GOES OFF!! ... wait there's more! MC got nothing to say so she says: Real so hot he blew up the speakers! WOW! thank you!

after that, trust me... i was so freakin mad i coudnt even spin...i put automatic pilot and just tried to survived... honestly, one wack ass set... i wasnt in the mood at all. they really killed me. (funny that everyone kept tellin me how good it was on the night itself and later on how much they love the mix that they downloaded from the net!)

Let me add that,  that sort of stories happened way to often to me when i was spining at ID&T events... maybe a coincidence?

About comparisons between me and Chuckie... let me say this: matter of taste i guess. Those who came to the party where we played back to back all night (Treetz), those can easily tell who's sharper or who they like best.

I personally dont like comparisons, i think Chuckie has his good things and I have mine... and i know we bouth love what we do with passion... we do ourselves, some like him some like me... its natural.
