Here in Netherlands I think refurbished would be : second hand and serviced.

I think it might be so that it are used decks that they got back someway. They might (should) have serviced them and checked for malfunctions. I would also ecspect that there is some kind of waranty on them.

What type of decks are you talking about (CDJ-400, CDJ-1000MK3, CDJ2000 etc) ?

Wow if everthing is correct in the decks, i think it's because pioneer himself refurbished it. i think that want it to:P

EDIT: i saw this @ pioneer site about the refurbished items:?
  • Quality products at substantial savings
  • Rigorously tested
  • 90-day limited warranty covering parts and labor
  • Contains all the originally packaged manuals and accessories
  • Supplies are limited

Yes, i think that pioneer put new parts in them instead of spoiled parts, service them and sell them in good condition.?
But, the 90 days limited warranity confuses me?

What confuses you about that? I think if something is wrong, that they didn't repaired something that you will get a new one or they will fix it.

i hope you can understand my english :P
