I dont understand your Question. Do you want to update your DJM 300? Thats not possible. Or do you want to use the Send and Return?

As far as i know (and have seen) there's no send - return on the DJM-300. If you did have this, you could use this in combination with software like ableton live (probably the best solution). To get effects 'on'your mixer.

If you don't have send - return you can 'send' the master channel through your laptop to put effects over that. But there's a very good chance you get latency problems and you won't be able to use the effects on the seperate channels.

save some money and get yourself a (second hand) djm-400 Winking my eye

Yeah, or you don't waste your money on a piece of shit and you stay away from the 400. Get a Xone: 22 or NUO 2 (.0) instead.

lol well said Mixt-Ape =p
OT: Pretty easy, you can't use what you don't have.. So if your mixer doesn't have S/R you can't use it either Happy, laughing

Why would you post something like that? At least explain why you wouldn't get a DJM-400, help the guy out.

There's not to many effect's on the xone22 or the nuo 2 are there? I also think we can both agree that you probably don't want a laptop as an external effector (via s/r).

In my opinion, the djm-400 is really not that bad. It'l get you pretty much all the effects youre going to find in the club set-ups. Money wise too: If you need effect software (for s/r), youre pretty much also going to need a midi controller. That way you end up spending more money then on a (second hand) djm-400.
