Hey everybody!
I have a quick one for you guys. I was playing a little set yesterday, and was using my EFX-1000 on an echo (8/1), and after I had disengaged the effect, it kept playing about 1/4 of a second of the echo no matter what I did on the EFX. The only way I got it to stop was doing a full power cycle of the EFX unit. Has anyone else come across this issue before? I have tried to repeat it, but was unable to. I would really hate it if I was playing out live and that happened.

To much wet on the dry/wet knob?

Maybe something with the character knob? (the middle one?)

But shouldn't the knobs have no effect after the effect was switched off?

Yeah, indeed. Maybe your EFX unit is just faulty...

Well, the good news, is it hasn't done it since that one time. I'm definitely keeping my eyes and ears on it.

An echo keeps bouncing untill the volume has declined all the way, even with the switch in OFF position. You set the switch to ON the record the part you want to be echo-ed.

To avoid this, use the Delay or turn down the depth to decrease the echo sound.
Let the BASS be louder

Well, thanks to Lead's input, I tested it out, and still was not able to reproduce it. I kind of though it might be caused from the depth knob being set to max when I recorded the echo, but that still ended when I turned the effect off. Like I said, it was really weird, and I haven't had it happen again. Damn Gremlins
