There is a lot of speculations going on, also by artistic people with photoshop and a creative mind. They come op with the most outrages designs. Here are some of them which I've been able to find sofar :

First Try, added the Pioneer logo to make it look real. Only added hotcue visible.
Second guess, mainly optical stuff and some copying of buttons.

Up until now the kind of option of deejaying is, you write all your music out on a post-it note and burn a cd and after a while it gets kind of tedious. The other option ofcourse is to play of DVS, if you want to stick with the traditional deejaying method, so you can use your laptop and do it like that.

But I'm not really a massive fan of like staring at the laptop screen so much. So, what I'd still use my laptop in my sets for effects and things like that. It's really great to know, be able to just look at the player and go through my tracks on that and not have to burn those to cd's or have to stare at the laptop screen.

So it's kind of bringing the deejay back towards the crowd a little bit and putting the element of traditional deejaying and the performance of it all.

Up to date really with modern techology its a, I think it's a nice mix of the two things and yeah it's kind of super convenient and also you know, pretty advanced.

I really can't wait to get it stuck in.

Hey what's up! I'm Armin van Buuren. As you guys know I've switched from vinyl to cd and now the next revolution is here. The new players are absolutely fantastic.

This is really revolutionary for me because I, you normally play longer sets, eight hours. So now I can really prepare my set you know, in advance in the computer and get every thing ready in my books, but still be able to be on the fly, play some odd cd or a guy that comes in with a usb stick with a track he's just finished.

You can prepare your deejay set, your whole box and everything on your laptop in your hotel room, and on the airport.

And guys, I seriously can't wait to start playing with these new Pioneer things.

Aangezien jij bijlkbaar geen uitnodiging hebt gehad/krijgt voor de 21e is dit niet voor je van toepassing. De 21e is er een introductie/demo voor genodigde en dealers. Op de 17e zal wereldwijd het persbericht worden verstuurd, maar daarmee zie je nog niet in levende lijve wat dat ding kan.

Op de 17e weet je dus wat er in het pers bericht staat, de 21e zien sommige mensen het ding uitgelegd en gedeomnstreert worden. Daarna ga ik ermee het land door en kun je hem tegen komen.

Leverbaar zal dat ding later worden, maar zal niet meer dan een maand of wat mogen duren, zie hiervoor het verleden van Pioneer en hun productlanceringen.

d'r zit nog steeds een schermpje in het jog... (ik zou het ook niet snappen als ze die zouden weghalen..)

dit product gaat definitief de CDJ1000(mk3) vervangen, deze is al 8 jaar op de markt als industriestandaard. als de grote namen het nieuwe product gaan promoten dan zal het iets heel groots worden, wat ik zelf verwacht:

Hi this is Eddie Halliwell and I've just been shown the new Pioneer players and software. And I'm also am extremely excited that to get working on them.

The organization that is going to help with being on the road looks fantastic.

I organize all of my music on a hard drive, mountains 'n mountains of music and just be able to plug that in and see all on the large screen.

It's just going to be a great, great help with a set.

The organization is just going to be phenominal. Put you, the usb key in and obviously, it records what you play, listing things out.

It's going to be great, great help for me personally, doing live recordings for radio.

It's going to help just not be coming home worrying what you're playing and try to remember things.

And obviously as if you're doing things on the road. When you've done some mix to .., a couple of tunes that worked really well or a trick or something that works. Something that you going to record all out, which I think it's going to be a great feature.

It's totally 'n totally refined, but it's obviously working 100-100, the software isn't it. So it's .., so which we haven't had that benefit before.

It's definitely a great tradition to have back, because it's going to allow you to be doing other things and you're not going to worry snapping loops precisely.

It definitely going to obviously change the way you play 100 % .It's just going to make you more creative as a deejay definitely and this is something I really look forward rocking 'n rolling with them.

Ben nu toch wel benieuwd aan het worden naar die speler!!!!

njaa ik denk dat het wel een klopper wordt volgens mij gaat hij verassender uit de hoek komen dan dat sommige mensen denken

Ja zeker, ik vind, als je naar dat piep kleine stukje speler kijkt, het er al best wel aardig uit zien. nu maar afwachten wat het allemaal kan doen. Als het dan ook nog koffie kan zetten en/of bier kan tappen ben ik verkocht.?Dan kom ik nooit meer achter de booth vandaan.

Seeing the blue LEDs is nice in two ways;

* first - I think it's a lot more visible than the display inside jogwheel (which for some reason, every time I would need to take a look at it, it seems to be under my hand at the precise moment) ... hopefully they've increased the "resolution" of the rim-LEDs from what it is in CD-400 (which admittedly is quite low)

* secondly - it is nice to see that thus far everything we've seen is not controversial to my earlier proposed design

What came as a bit of a surprise in Halliwell's video was the mention of software. Hopefully Pioneer is not opting in for something strictly proprietary. Personally, I hate DJS (though, I must admit that I've never had played with it live, much less using a dedicated controller - but the little experience I have with it says that it sucks miserably as a tool for DJs). Besides, if they do, it sounds a lot like Denon's Music Manager... you hear me saying "don't want"...
