Hey guys, ive recently started up DJ'ing. and i usually use CD's for my cdj400's. But when i put my ipod in everything is fine. But when i want to fast forward tracks, or rewind when in usb mode. it goes hell slow and laggy.. and sometimes when i choose a song off my ipod in USB mode i get an error, and the song wont play. Hope you can give me some help. Cheers Happy, laughing

You probably have an iPod from 6th generation or higher. Apple changed something inside the iPods that prevent fluid working on other devices.
This can also be due to the fact that you use VBR compression (MP3 with CBR are better)
Let the BASS be louder

Yer having the USB mode skip when trying to get through tracks really defies the point of it. doesnt sound like there is any solution though. besides burnign cd's... lol

Wich Firmware do you have on the CDJ's?

Try to update Your firmware to the latest 1.30

Improvements
USB memory device detection time
(time between insertion of the USB memory device until tracks can be selected)

Possibility to use a USB hub (USB 2.0-compatible)
Improved when using your CDJ-400 connected to a PC application (Pioneer DJS, Serato Scratch LIVE, etc.).

So speed is improved but most important the support for use of a USB hub is supported. Connect you 2 CDJ-400's with a USB hub to one USB Hard Drive. You'll only need 1 Hard Drive to acces all tracks with both CDJ's
