Pioneer
+ effects
+ quility
+ fader start
- no booth/rec out
- price... you can buy 2 Xone's for 1 DJM

A&H
+ filters
+ rec out

- No Effects

- I would rather put the '+' for quality (both sound and build) on the A&H side of the comparation
- another + for the Xone: Balanced XLR output + monitor out + booth out

As you suspect, i'm in favor of the Xone 22!

- If you don't care about limited effects and sample loop bank (which the DJM is equiped with) -f.e you don't use those or planning to go to a digital setup like Traktor scratch -
- you aren't PIONEER-horny

=> Don't doubt !! => XONE 22

we have a fanboy here I seeCool I think the DJM is an excellent choice, has effects somewhat like the DJM-800 and its a good quality mixer. On the other hand, if you want a 2 channel mixer that lasts for centuries, the AH is probably a better choice. I really don't like the fact that there's no powerswitch on the AH. But like Esmee already said, theres no rec out on the DJM, and its expensive. If you look at the outside, the DJM wins. I dont like all the different colours on the AH. If only there was a black version of theAH...Cool

The Xone 22 is wack and black :D.
But true i forgot about the absence of a powerswitch (that's actually a considerable minor!)
And i again i agree, you have to develop a taste for A&H design, whereas pioneer looks more 'designy', standard and marketable. (lol i once was a pio fan boy 2 Happy, laughing? )

As far as I know the 2 master outs at the DJM-400 are absolutely the-same as the Monitor out / record out. ?Those fancy names don't mean nothing?Cool

No, the monitor out volume can you change separate from the master out.
You can't change the volume of the record out, so the output for recording is always the same.

They are really usefull.

I say Xone:22, because I have the DJM-400. It's too expensive and has so many features less. Effector is not important, you can always buy one.

There are both fine mixer. The problem is what will you want to see in an mixer. only the Pioneer DJM400 is very expansive in comparetion with de Xone 22. It is better to go to a DJshop and try them out. Because what i like, you don`t need to like. It is sad that you havent motived you openingtopic?what features you like to see in a mixer. If you do that we can give you a better adviceCool

Master out the same as record out? You might want to re-check your sources for this info...

if it comes to price.. and sound quality... Xone wins:P
but if u want features then go with djm400
both r solid built

I would like to add that if you don't care about the effects (djm) or the filters on the Xone. You can always take a look at ecler mixers Thumbs Up

In this comparison I would also take the Xone mixer.

pioneer = quality? Sorry but I've seen a lot more broken DJM's?(or?broken faders)?than I saw Ecler or xone mixers. Pioneer cd players are good, the mixers aren't that good. They have a good marketing, that's true Winking my eye

I share my opinion with you Ziax Happy, laughing

Once i owned a DJM-400, but sold it because i thought it was not as good sound quality as my ecler mixer.

But the question was DJM 400 VS Xone22.
I would choose the Xone 22.

DJM 400
_______

+ Effects
-?Price too high

Xone 22
_______

+ Cheaper
+ Better built quality i think
