when you burn a track onto a CD, does it make the bit rate 192 kbps? or would it stay at 320 kbps (or whatever it was in the first place) if is stays the same, what is the lower bit rate you would use to play out somewhere?

What do you think about CD track quality ??

Hi Steve,

If you want to make a audio-cd ( i presume you want to make a music cd), the mp3's in your case are (so far i know) automaticly converted into the fileformat : WAVE. On the moment you are burning that tracks on the cd =).

and as the 2nd piont.... if you wanna play outdoor, be sure you're mp3 are at 320 kbps for the 'best' sound-quality mp3 can offer you!.

Audio CDs need to be 44.1kHz 16 bits audio. Your burn programm will convert this for you.

Although this can store much better sounds than 190kbps MP3 but you burn proggie can never improve sound quality.

Look at it like this: a bum (MP3 audio) need to go somewhere, it stays a bum weather it travels by foot or Ferrari...

I would say the you need at least 190, preferably 256kbps. I would only go for WAV or 320kbps. You might not hear the difference at home, but you will in a club Winking my eye

thanks gents,

so that means if I have a 320 kbps mp3 and a 190 kbps mp3 and put them onto the same CD, there would still be a difference in quality yeah?

and also Lead, your saying 256 kbps is the minimum you would use in a club? or would you not use anything less than 320 if you were using mp3s?
