hello djresource community...

ive just signed up to this site and am already really impressed...delighted to be here....

my 1st question... Happy, laughing

is it possible? to put the lense from a cdj-100 into a cdj-500...

i own set of cdj100s and ive just bought a cdj-800 and a cdj 500...

problem is the lense in the 500 is a bit dodgy and one of the 100s? has a non responsive jogwheel...

so i was wondering if the lenses were transferrable? Confused

i recently bought all this pioneer equipment from a friend and its in need of servicing...but i havent the funds to service them all yet so i was thinking of a bit of home repair....

any info would be gr8...thanks in advance,,,,

Wouldn't you prefer to use the cdj-100 instead of the cdj-500?

I've replaced the potmeter under the jogwheel of my cdj-100 once because it didn't responded the way it should anymore. It costed me 15 euro's and it's working fine now for several years.

Hi, welcom to DJResource LOL

No, those lasers are NOT replaceable. You should get a replacement part that has the same specifications. To what I know, for the CDJ-500 you can only get Pioneer's own laser assembly.

The jogwheel is a much easier fix, certainly for CDJ-100.? The original part itself is cheap and relatively easy to replace. (when you're handy and don't care if you mess up)
