Wich cd player must i chose 400,800,mep7000

   

Hi everyone!

I'am Tim, from the Netherlands.
Comments in Dutch is fine, but not everyone will understand that.

I spent lots of time in working and now i wnat some new cd players.
Right now i've got 2x Jbsystems mcd-200.

SOme weeks ago i had a gig on the new Pioneer Mep7000.
This thing rocks! before i thought: fine, some stupid 19 inch double cd players.
But when i was inmixing i start to like this cd players!

I want 2 new cd players.
The mp3 (with usb) function on the mep7000 is so good!
Never that shit with cd's!
First i thought: i gonna buy 2x cdj-800 mk2.
But i want this mp3 function!

What must i do?
Exually i want table tops but, well

What do you think i must chose?
- cdj-400
- cdj-800 mk2
- Mep7000
- A denon player with mp3?

Help me blush the fire!

CDJ-800 MK2's hebben MP3 functie, maar ik denk dat je USB bedoelde!

De enige opties die je qua Pioneer met USB hebt is de CDJ-400 (tabletop speler) en de MEP-7000 (dubbele 19inch cd/media speler).

Het ligt er maar net aan wat je budget is en wat je stijl is enz... enz...

De MEP heeft als voordeel dat je met een USB toetsenbord makkelijk tracks kan zoeken op je Terra schijf! De CDJ-400 is wat vriendelijker qua club/beatmatch DJ gebruik vind ik persoonlijk. Dit voornamelijk omdat je dan links rechts een hebt staan net iets meet plek qua knoppen.

Prijsverschil ca. 500.-

Als je echt per se USB wil hebben dan zou ik voor de CDJ-400 gaan.

Ik heb zelf 2 CDJ-800 MK2's en mis de USB functie totaal niet, maar ieder z'n smaak he!

Ik mis de color effect van de DJM-800 ook niet, en de hotcue mogelijkheden van een CDJ-1000 ook niet, maar ik heb ze ook niet!

Ik zou gewoon lekker 2 tabletops nemen, de cdj-400tjes dus. Ik heb zelf een CDJ-400 en een dubbelaar, maar op een CDJ-400 sized apparaat cue't, scratcht en draait het gewoon net ff wat lekkerder! (Neemt niet weg dat je, zeker in het begin alsnog op je pitch moet letten, dat je hem geen mep verkoopt!)

Daarbij was een MEP duurder dan een setje cdj-400tjes. Enige voordeel bij een mep is, dat je van 1 usb device naar 2 decks kan spelen, maar een USB stickje exact kopieren is ook de moeite niet. Uiteindelijk ga je in een discotheek GEEN cdj-400 vinden (Tenzij je hem meeneemt!) en zul je toch cd's moeten branden. En eerlijk gezegd vind ik een CD in een CDJ steken een stuk leuker, dan mn mapjes afzoeken op mn USB...

Waarom heb je dan niet voor de 800 gekozen Stefjuuh?

At first hand, the 800 is 100 euro's more expensive, and you can do less with it. Also it sucks the 800 is the ONLY cdj (with the 100) that doesnt have ?6% and 0.02 pitch range. The CDJ-400 just has a lot more to offer.

Personaly, I would choose the CDJ-800.

A few months ago I bought a CDJ-400 but the Jog-wheel is very small ... and I never use the USB-function.

If money didn't matter and those were the only 4 cd-players, I would choose the new denon decks. The only reason is that it is bigger than the CDJ-400.

CDJ 400 in combo with SSL is sweet... then you dont have your usb stick search problems. But you enhance the real power of the cdj 400's, Midi use with SSL is truly great... I love it! Think about that!

Yeah, that midi functie is nice! Well, thanx for all the comments! Soon i will go to the local DJ-shop to test out all the decks and then i will decide. You hear it of me! Thanx a lot! Tim
