Messenger is one of the most widely used chat programs but in some case you would want the old instance of Messenger (4.7) to be removed from your system.... But there is no de-install file, no way to get it out of your system or your Programms list.

Just follow these steps :

Start > Run

Now on the commandline copy this informatie. With other wordt, you give your computer the command to execute the following file :

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

You have to confirm the de-installation after this file is executed. When the de-install is ready you'll have to reboot. Be smart and do it right away.
When your computer is rebooted you will be asked if all previous madeand saved settings should be maintained... Offcourse this can also be removed.

And that's it. You finally got Messenger 4.7 removed from your system...

idd, when I got my new computer I started first to remove stuff like this, and tweak others before getting started with the installation of other software.

Dit is een handige truc die ik ga proberen omdat ik net een verse windows install achter de rug heb en dus nog moet upgraden.

Ik ben benieuwd
Waarom lees je dit nu eigenlijk ?
