DJ Megagirl
DJ Megagirl, as well known as Widia, is a dandy Hindustani lady, who is born and raised in the Netherlands.

In 2000 she has got her nickname Megagirl, from a very good friend and since that time this name has been grown like her alter ego.

Musical background
Dj Megagirl is raised with music of AC/DC, Jimmy Hendrix, Prince, Michael Jackson, Charlez Aznavour till plain Dutch music and pop. Since six years she is also at home with club, dance  and other music scenes. You can say she has a big interest in almost every kind of music and also in life.

DJ-Start
On 13 January 2003, she got her first Technics turntables for her birthday, because she wanted to play records, since she was little.

She was always busy with music, so eventually  a bar owner from her hometown, presented her two second hand turntables to start with. Her husband accepted that offer and gave it to her as present.

Just after 5 months she got her first mixer to complete the set and after some very short lessons she was ready to play. Now, the people have discovered her and she is in the run to get very hot in and outside the country.

Music Styles
DJ Megagirl is a club dj. From origin she started with techno/progressive and tribal as first style on vinyl. But now she mainly plays club, club-house, club-latin, eclected, and elektro, but also Hed Kandi and dance, mostly on CDs.

She likes to play and mix on different styles and events, because she thinks one style is to boring to listen to and to dance on for many hours. A little tough, but also happy, uplifting (party) and floor-filling,  popular and non-popular  is her way.

She is known as one of the dj's who play for the people and not only for herself and always tries to interact.
 
She also thinks the dj must entertain the crowd and has to give positive vibrations while playing. Further on she thinks its the best way to stay and play as yourself (If you are a dj or not ) in any cause

Where did and does she play?
Dj Megagirl gets her gigs from places like style full clubs, diskotheques, private and business events like Time Out (Gemert), Club LA (Amsterdam), Catacombe (Amsterdam), Crazyland (Amsterdam), RAI expo (Amsterdam), Girlz 'n St­yle (Utrecht, Amsterdam), City Hall Utrecht, Gogonut Club (Lelystad), Dolce Vita Club (Herten, Maastricht), Club Bacchus (Enkhuizen), Stadsherberg (Enkhuizen), The Island Texel (NLD), Club TNT, (Kreta-Greece), Holland Casino (Enschede), TDF (Berlikum), big Queensday event (Grootebroek), The Merit Awards (Brussels), de Kade (Zaandam) Sexy Mother F*cker Zenith (Venray), Supperclubcruise (Amsterdam) and she also had the honour to perform before Congress people in the Hague

Also she just started to produce her own songs and hopes to launch some in the future on vinyl or CD.

Some examples are interviews and promos in: Sen Magazine, TV programma Nachtsuite, TV Rijnmond, Slam FM.,Radio West-Friesland, Noord Hollands Dagblad, Regio TV 22 and she performed and celebrated her birthday @ the very populair reality Dutch TV- show "De Gouden Kooi" (The Golden Cage)

Ja, stiekem schaam ik me een beetje voor het gedrag van deze mensen. Ik hoop dat er snel een forummod langs komt die hier een slotje op kan gooien...

van mij mag ie nog wel open blijven. ik ging weer ff goed stuk om al die reply's van de andere members

Zo ik bespeur enig jaloezie hier, ze staat in leuke clubs, ook komende editie weer op sexymotherfucker. Dat zijn geen slechte feestjes, feesten waar de meesten van jullie waarschijnlijk nooit zullen draaien. Maar ja

Het is idd vrij kitsch wat promotie betreft, maar ze zal de skillz wel hebben, anders staat ze daar niet.

ik zet ook altijd me pioneer cdj 800 op de stofkap terwijl me stofkap nog op de draaitafel zit!
