Google Chrome BetaA few days ago Google launched their own browser called Google Chrome.

Just wondering if people are using this browser...

I've been test driving it for a few days now (2 to be exact) and do like it. It start very fast, loads fast and has a stealth mode to hide your internet histoy/cookies etc.

But the main improvement is the base of the browser. It has been redisigns just now so it starts of with all requirements of today. Most browsers exist a long time and started of with a different idea of what the ideal browser should handle like.

The interet is a very fast moving thing and this seems to be the first browser on a mordern architecture.

The look and feel is totally different from other browsers (tabs are on top) and you need some time to get used to.

The down site though is that for webmaster it's another browser to which a website need to be made fully working. At the moment I do come across some strange things on DJResource when using Chrome and they are dealt by at that moment... If you notice weird stuff, post it on the forum, mentioning that it's with Chrome.

Looks a bit like Firefox and Safari casted into one browser. I didn't came accross any spectacular new functions. I'm contious about how the browser will deal with websites. Too bad it's a windows-only...

I'm also testing it for 2 days and I love it, the speed is remarkable better.

But it's not availeble for mac so on that firefox is still my favorite.

Speed is exellent.

Thats right. This browser is designed for todays users. Fast streaming, uploading, flash elements. Right what we need these days!

And most imporant : It handles processes in threads. Which shouls make it a lot more stable.

Also the Javascript support has been redesigned. In the old days (for most other browsers) Javascript was just supporting a site. Nowadays a lot of site's core compenents depant on Javascript (the WYSIWYG editor for example) so the Javascript engine works completely different.

My experience... 1 website doesn't work (at least lots of their pages gives errors in Chrome) : php.net

Little bit remarkable would I say Winking my eye

OSX Version under development.

I think I don't really like the blue looks... Doesn't fit in the OSX system if you'd ask me...
