Introduction: Martijn

   

Hi there, I'm a 29 yrs old Dutch Producer, born in a small town near Rotterdam. I love all kinds of Music and I love to create my own music. Most of the times I create House tracks but now and than I also like to make music like Chill-out, HipHop, Hardstyle etc. Anyway, my passion is creating music.

It was around 1993 when I made my first tracks on a classic Amiga 500. In the back of the Amiga I had a Sampler card connected to a CD-Player. The software I used on the Amiga was Protracker, a simple 4 channel tracker. Funny if you compare it to the equipment you can buy these days.

Somewhere in '95 I moved to a Pentium II and had some more tools to create tracks. The software I used on the Pentium was Impulse Tracker, a Multi-channel tracker that supported 64 separate channels. I made a lot of tracks with that, I think I even got them on a cd somewhere in an old box.

Up till a year ago I didn't spent much time on making tracks. There were no good new trackers available anymore. I had heard about Cubase but thought it would be too difficult to work with. I was lucky,... About a year ago a friend of mine, DJ Miss Smile, contacted me and gave me the opportunity to get lessons in Cubase from a talented producer DJ Silence. Of course this was an offer I couldn't resist. In 8 lessons he explained me the basic things there are to know about Cubase and VST instruments. After the lessons, I was on my own hehe but it helped me a lot to get started! Now, I'm still learning more about Cubase everyday. Anyway, this is my history regarding producing.
