Hi, I'm a veteran amateur DJ. I make it my stress releiver to make parties for my friends and share my love of music. I use my dvj-1000s for my wonderful collection of music videos ranging from the 70's until today. I love my DN-HD for searching through my mp3's. But it took me a while to correctly tag all my music! Once done, it'll take maximum 5 seconds to locate any song with the help of the Saietek illuminated keyboard. Check out my videos of my parties at crazypole.com!

Nice DJ-Booth you have with both the audio and video set-up. Tough I personally would look into a solution that is more automated. In the current set-up you will need to crossfade audio and video manually seperate, right? Ever tought of a more integrated solution?
And aren't the DVJ's a little bit low or is this just a quick set-up at home for showing?

Definately just a quick set-up in my dining room. I'm about to move by the end of this month and I have a dedicated room already planned! Gimme 2 months and I'll post something really niiiiice! I bought this AVM-01 used a long time ago, way before I got my DJ's. I really regret it. The Edirol V-4, a much better machine, can be bought for a really good price now that the V-8 is out. For quick jump from one video to the next I plug in the auto cross fade from the DVJ's into my Denon mixer and the video switches at the same time as the audio from the mixer. But I prefer to do it manually in a PIP (picture-in-picture) and gradually mix the audio. It's like a musical instrument. The more you practice the better you get. One day, maybe the SVM-1000 will enter my life!!!

I feel your pain about taging your mp3's... I am working on that myself right now. But after a half year I'm halfway there :p still 200 GB to go....
