Yeah loving the S4 loads.... so much potential with the sample decks ,Loop features and loop recorder and mega portable aswell .... an instant party wherever you can plug into a sound system.... will be even better when timecode comes to it this year sometime..!

Nice setup Danny. Are you using the Korg PadKontrol together with the S4 to control Traktor?

Flag dannybyrne29 wrote on 04-01-2011 23:21
Yeah timmy.... mapped it to trigger some Beatmashers FX's and Delay freeze to deconstruct the beat and put it back together again.... kinda like a midi fighter..!... love it..!

Flag dannybyrne29 wrote on 04-01-2011 23:28
There's kinda 2 seperate setups here really as Traktor S4 does'nt work with timecode vinyl yet (Traktor Scratch Pro?used for that)?... so the 1210's and the CD player are on three channels of the mixer and the S4 output is?on the other.... this way two DJ's can jam together with digital and vinyl in perfect harmony...lol... still prefer the technics for scratching but the S4 can hold its own once you get the hang of the smaller jog wheels.

We Love Technics 4ever,are u satisfied of your denon mixer danny ?
Flag Emaus wrote on 05-01-2011 16:32
nice)
Flag TimmyV wrote on 05-01-2011 18:57
Thanks?for the answer. I asked that cause i'm looking for a controller like the PadKontrol to play samples while mixing live. Very interested in the Native Instruments Maschine. Making my own samples and then play them within the mix for some variation. Maschine has his own program that, i think, isn't that hard to understand and use. Ableton Live is a pain in the ass haha.

The denon mixer could be better.... not keen on the fader quality to be honest but the sound quality is very good and the input matrix is very handy...!!
PadKontrol is very responsive and the pads are very stable for drumming away on..... and the S4 is very intuative to use..everything in the software is mirrored on the controller so its very user friendly...!
